Fall Foliage: Autumn in New England
I do not have much time to get out of the studio to make some landscape photos for my own amuesment or for the enjoyment of the facebook leaf peepers. Which is ironic, very ironic as two projects I am working on are seasonal based and are documenting the landscape. Funny how that works ehh? Well never the less, here are two images that I just made on my way into the studio. [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
I have been quite busy the last few weeks and will be providing an update of some of the exciting things I have been working on, as well as the article I am writing about, Bermuda and my first time off the main land U S of A!
Stay tuned kiddies!
Fall Foliage: A few quick shots
Fall in New England is such a beautiful time. There is a variable color shift and transition as the seasons change. Those elements make things come to life. The Autumn months are, slightly, arguably my favorite months out the year. But I say that for every season, being a New England boy at heart. Here are a few shots I made the other day. I am disembarking the U.S for the first time this Sunday. I will be back in 7 days and look forward to seeing more color.

Fall Harvest Fest: Grass Roots Organization
I volunteer my photography and services to a few local organizations as a form of social practice. I find it rewarding to do work in the community and connect with the people that make up the community in which my studio is in. Today I went out to a harvest event for Nuestras Raices, a grass roots non-profit that promotes Sustaining Agriculture, among a list of other positive and community enlightening and engaging activities. This is the third year I have photographed the harvest fest. This year was a little bit different, it wasn't at the farm, like it typically is. Today it was at their main office, in celebration of their 20th year and to thank the farmers and gardeners. Food and music brought the farmers out, with their friends and families. It was a nice afternoon. Students from UMass Amherst were there volunteering time. They are also part of a class about Nuestras. I have helped develop the website as well as other photography related activities. I am also the Art Director for the Nuestras Raices Gala and Exhibition on November 15th. Here are a few photos from the Harvest Fest today.

After the shoot...
This morning I had a shoot, nice and early. I was on location for about an hour or so. It went fast, quick, and even though it was an over-cast fall day in New England, I was still able to get some great shots. After the shoot I was heading out and found that the landscape in the immediate area was very nice. Fall is encroaching very fast. The leaves have started to change colors and drop in some areas. I had a few minutes to spare, so I turned my lens onto the landscape before setting out with the rest of my day.

Family Portraits: Latest Article
I haven't really featured to many articles I have written for Free Photo Resources on my personal blog. While I am a co-writer for Free Photo resources, I just never seem to remember to link them back to this here bloggity blog. SO, without further-a-do, here is the newest article that I have written.
Street Photography: Boston Massachusetts
Last week I had a chance to step out of the studio and shoot some street photography. I turned my lens on to a few streets and areas in Boston. What I discovered was that I was seeing patterns of people, light, and shadows. I was able to produce a small body of work that examines the relationships to these subject matters within public spaces. I saw compositions that had elements that created relationships and present the observer with a dynamic view of these conjoining elements that allow for the relationships to exist. At the very least I was photographing what was appealing to me, objects, people, arrangements, and light that resonated with the time of day and the subject matters I am interested in photographing. There are 12 diptychs below. I think and find that it is incredibly rare that such a group can be found in such a short span of time. A mere 3 hours and I was able to find 24 images that coincide with one another a dynamic level. None-the-less I am pleased with what I was able to find. [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
